Religion and Spirituality

World Info

Spiritual beliefs and practices on Anasta are often regional and cultural, with some recurring patterns. The Twin Dragons—the Dragon of the Heavens and the Dragon of the Deep—are recognized nearly everywhere. While some express a personal relationship to these beings, most peoples regard them in a transcendent way, the creators outside of creation itself.

The Order of the Sun, the Sisters of the Deep, and the Chantry have organized, hierarchecal social structures where the spiritual practices inform and permeate the cultural base. This is the faction itself.

Most cultures venerate cultural heroes and celebrated ancestors. These make up the bulk of spiritual practices. The lists of these heroes and ancestors are voluminous and are open for interpretation and creation by the players and GM. Below are a few common examples.

Widely-recognized Heroes

The Archons (Children of the Moon / The Moon Wardens / The Cursed / The Chantry)

Baron Ramira (The Guild)

The Champion of Shinshar (Peacekeepers)

The Enchanter Twins (The Chantry)

The First Chimera (Chimeras / The Generation of Chaos)

Hinza (Wildcallers / Wilders)

The Phoenix (Arydi / The Order of the Sun)
