Oceanus

Overview

No one quite knows how much of the world is covered in Sea, or what may lay beyond. Oceanus remains mostly unexplored save close to the coastlines. This fact comes not from the lack of desire to explore, but because of the greatest living threat to the New World roams the Sea. If one sails across the waters in any direction, one will eventually come face-to-face with the Chaos Storm.

No one has been able to accurately portray the Storm as it is maddening to behold and defies all description. The most common hypothesis is that the Chaos Storm is a leftover from and manifestation of the Generations of Chaos that has been continually active since the Moonfall. Any who approach are lost. The few tales of people surviving the briefest contact with the Storm result in severe mutations and Etheric radiation poisoning, to which they eventually succumb. This great unknown has sparked endless speculation and birthed countless ghost stories.
