The Wilders
During the Generations of Chaos, some humans found themselves living more closely with other creatures than before and developed deep bonds fueled by mutual survival. In time, Wildcallers appeared throughout Erebos with their unique gift. As with other bioforms, some Wildcallers found a strong camaraderie with others that shared their mutation. From this came a society—the Wilders—during the Age of Darkness in the lands to the South. Now, in the Rebirth, the Wilders are the dominant faction in those lands and have smaller communities throughout Anasta.
Wilder settlements blend seemlessly into the enviroment. One may find a dwelling built into a rock wall with ledges for creatures to pounce and perch, another in the decaying hollow of a great tree stump crawling with moss and fungi. The largest of Wilder settlemnts is the Er’Den of the Verdant Mountains. Beyond the palpable feel of pulsating plant and fungal life, one of the most striking features of Wilder communities is they are filled with creatures that might naturally be predators or prey to the others in cooperative relationship. While the cycles of nature are respected and honored, there is a certain kind of elevation and depth to those living there that is different from those living elsewhere.
Relationship to the other factions
In general, The Wilders remain neutral to—and even a bit isolationist toward—all other factions unless provoked. Wildcallers and Wildcaller Chimeras of other factions are usually welcomed as extended family.
