Using Supplies
Quick Reference
- Spend one Supplies resource of the Challenge/Expertise type.
- Beneficial (+) Add Dice are created for each Rank of the resource used.
- Only one (1) supplies resource may be used per Challenge.
- Used supplies last the duration of the Challenge (not just a single round).
- Example: Using a Rank 3 Scav Supplies create three (3) Beneficial(+) Add Dice for a Scav Challenge (+3d6) for the remainder of the Challenge.
Supplies are valuable commodities that may be used or traded. They are intentionally abstract to allow flexibility in narrative storytelling. That is, any given supplies resource could be named or just remain generic. For example, a stack of ancient tomes may count as a Rank 2 Sparrow Supplies. Such books could be noted as Ancient Tomes (Sparrow Rank 2), or simply Rank 2 Sparrow Supplies depending on the level of detail the group would like to maintain.
To use supplies, a Cohort spends one supplies resource of the Challenge type. Add Dice are created for each Rank of the resource used. For example, a Cohort using Rank 3 Scav Supplies create three (3) Beneficial(+) Add Dice for a Scav Challenge (+3d6).
A Cohort may only spend one resource per Challenge. The default duration is until the Challenge is resolved. However, the GM may adjust this based on the given Challenge. For example, if there is an overarching Challenge that spans multiple scenes, the GM may rule that resources may only be applied to a single scene.
