Quick Reference
- Moonshards are used to temporarily Power Up Ethertech Abilities.
- Moon Relics may be used as Moonshards, or create new Abilities through Growth.
- Found items with Abilities may be stored until they are made permanent through Growth.
- Transporting VIPs is a common occurrance for Cohorts.
- Other narratively important items may take up space in the Mule’s cargo hold.
Using Moonshards
Unlike supplies, multiple Moonshards may be used by a Cohort at once, one per PC per Challenge. This activates the Power Up stunt for one Ethertech Ability for each Moonshards that is used.
Using Moon Relics
Moon Relics may be used as Moonshards, itegrated/infused to create a new Ability, or unleashed. Refer to this section on using Moon Relics.
Holding Items with Abilities
The Cohort may come across Ethertech or Solartech items that already have Abilities. For a PC to make such an item “theirs” requires a Growth test to properly attune to the item. Until that time, the Cohort may store it in the cargo hold. Once such an Ability is made permanent, it no longer takes up space in the hold.
Transporting VIPs
Providing escort and protection for powerful people is a common job for Cohorts. Such people take up space that would otherwise be used to hold other resources.
Other Items
The Cohort may have some other item they are transporting. Such items must have some sort of narrative weight to take up space in the cargo hold.
