Children of the Moon // Artist: Rachel Walpole

When the Archons lifted the Crystal City of the Moon to the Sky, they created a new bioform to guard their remaining outposts on the Land. These are the Children of the Moon: Physically imposing, upright wolves imbued with great strength and speed to fulfill their duty. Their keen senses help them to locate both friend and foe. The Children were also given the imperative to serve the Archons at the genetic level. Though the Archons disappeared millenia ago, all Children still feel this genetic urge to serve. Some choose to ignore this impulse, but all are aware of it.

Many Children of the Moon count themselves as part of the Moon Wardens and continue to guard the ancient places of the Archons, or the descendents of the Archons, the Moonblooded. Children fully-independent of the Wardens are not unknown (especially among Cohorts) but are rare.

Traits

Superior Strength and Speed

When you may take advantage of your physical prowess, choose Destiny or Doom on to make this trait +2 / 2d.

Hunter’s Senses

When attempting to locate a living creature through sight, hearing, or smell, this trait is +1d6 and A5 / 1d. You may spend a Destiny point to make this trait +2d6 and A5 / 2d, or +3d6 A5 / 3d if you are familiar with the creature to be located (such as an ally).

Servant of the Archons

When you choose to act in the Archons’ best interest and that interest is in conflict with your own or the Cohort’s, you may choose to take one (1) or more unpreventable Stress. Each Stress you take this way creates +1d6, to a maximum of the Cohort dice pool cap. This effect lasts until the end of the Event involving the Archons.
