Arydi
From the ashes of the Moonfall arose many new species uniquely adapted to the transformed world of Anasta. Among the most notable are the avian Arydi, a bioform with a sharp intellect and even sharper talons. The Ayrdi range in appearance from colorful parrot-like creatures to sleek raven-like forms, to that of hawks, eagles, and other birds of prey. Every Arydi displays a unique feather pattern that often reflects their personality. All, however, are naturally flightless. This limitation spurred the development of technology to aid in their mobility and survival during the Age of Darkness. This technology took on spiritual significance to the Arydi as they looked to the heavens beyond the Moonstone to the shining Sun. Their beliefs became the foundation of the Order of the Sun and their technology the basis for Solartech.
Ayrdi are the most recent of the bioforms to arise after the Moonfall. They are known for their curiosity and adaptability, often seeking out new knowledge and experiences. This has led to a society that values innovation and progress, with many Ayrdi becoming inventors, psientists, and explorers. This contagious curiosity and devotion to their new Solar Psience has atttracted other bioforms to their communities and spiritual practices.
