Most common terrain:
Coast, Rocky hills
Landmarks:
Dragon’s Gullet

The Western Coast of Anasta is perpetually overcast, making its jagged black and grey stone shores appear even more ominous. Fridgid waters, frequent high winds, heavy rain, and intense thunderstorms deter many from lingering. Beneath the surface is a massive cave system that is marked by large underground lakes and pools that feed into the sea. This subterranean realm is the ancestral home of the Naga, with Darkshore being their largest settlement.

Darkshore

Carved from stalagmite, coral, and stone on the edge of the world, Darkshore is also known as the Coven of the the Sisters, where the Sisters of the Deep wield absolute power. Darkshore is home to the majority of Naga in Anasta, and few other bioforms take up residence there. The most ancient of cities on Anasta, its alien beauty reflects the history of 10,000 years as seen by the serpentine people of the Sea. Photoluminencent flora and fauna seamlessly mix with Naga Ethertech to create a dance of soft light and deep shadows. Murals and statuary capture the stories of the Naga, some of which are empowered with Ethertech to add dimension and nuance. Foremost of all is the Temple of the Dragon, whose living coral thrives upon the remains of its ancient predecessors, its stories continuing to grow and change.

The Dragon’s Gullet

Other than the Coven of the Sisters, the most well-known landmark in the area is the Dragon’s Gullet. Open to the Sky, the Gullet is a large bowl-shaped rock formation that constantly churns, crashes, swirls, and foams with the tide that feeds it. Legend has it that those lost under the waters of the Gullet are consumed by the Primordial Serpent of the Deep to feed its next dreams for Anasta.
